How much does 3D printing cost?

What makes a part cost more or less, and how to keep the number down.

Short answer: a large, dense, or high-detail part can run into the hundreds. The fastest way to a real figure is the instant quote, which works from your actual model.

What makes a part cost more or less

  • Size. Bigger parts cost more.
  • Material. Standard PLA and PETG are inexpensive. Engineering materials like polycarbonate and nylon cost more. PLA or PETG handles far more than people expect. Save polycarbonate and nylon for parts that genuinely see load, heat, or wear.
  • Strength. The quote page offers Standard, Strong, and Max strength. Pick the lowest strength setting that does the job.
  • Detail. On resin parts, Fine detail costs more than Standard.
  • Quantity. Order in quantity if you know you will need more than one. The per-part price drops.
  • How fast. Lead times are on the turnaround page.

What the price includes

Included: every part in the order and the lead time you pick. US shipping is free.

Separate: hand finishing (inserts, bonding, assembly) and design or CAD work if your file is not print-ready. Ask for it up front so it is on the quote.

Larger runs

For 50 pieces or more, ask for a custom quote. A custom quote is free, with no obligation.
