Best for
- Fine detail
- A smooth surface
- Miniatures, jewelry and casting patterns, brackets and housings
- Functional parts in a resin family matched to the load, heat, or flex the part sees
Not sure whether your part wants resin or filament? Our guide to choosing between resin and filament walks through it.
Resin families
Nine resin families, each suited to a different job.
- General purpose resin: stiff, with a smooth matte finish. Our default for detail and appearance work.
- Tough and durable resin: for snap-fits, hinges, jigs, and enclosures.
- Rigid resin: glass-filled and stiff, for brackets, fixtures, and mold inserts.
- High temp resin: for fixtures and inserts that sit near heat.
- Flame retardant resin: for electronics housings.
- ESD-safe resin: static-dissipative, for trays and fixtures around sensitive electronics.
- Flexible and elastic resin: rubbery grades for grips, gaskets, and cushioned parts.
- Silicone resin: true silicone, for gaskets and soft molds that flex again and again.
- Castable resin: burn-out patterns for investment casting.
Detail level
Two detail levels: Standard for most parts, Fine for curved surfaces and small detail.
Color
The resin is the color. General purpose resin prints in gray, black, white, or clear, and color resin in gray, black, white, yellow, green or red. Give the color in the order notes.
