Tough and durable resin

A family of resins for parts that get bent, snapped into, screwed into, or knocked around, each modeled after a different everyday plastic.

Best for

  • Snap-fits, living hinges, and compliant mechanisms (the polypropylene-like grade)
  • Stiff, creep-resistant jigs, fixtures, and enclosures (the ABS-like grade)
  • Ductile, impact-resistant parts that get squeezed or slide against each other (the HDPE-like grade)

Not the right choice for

  • Sustained heat (the HDPE-like grade)

About this resin family

On the quote page pick Formlabs Tough 1500 V2 for the springy, polypropylene-like grade (hinges, clips), Formlabs Tough 2000 V2 for the stiff, ABS-like grade (jigs, housings), or Formlabs Tough 1000 for the ductile, low-friction, HDPE-like grade (parts that flex or slide repeatedly).
