PCTG as a printed part
A printed PCTG part is about as strong as a PETG one.
Key properties
| Tensile strength | 45 MPa |
|---|---|
| Heat deflection | 76 C at 0.45 MPa |
| Water uptake | 0.15 to 0.17 percent |
What to use instead
- PETG when you want the standard all-rounder.
- Polycarbonate (PC) when the part has to take more heat.
The FDM material selector narrows the whole range by operating temperature, load, chemical exposure, and budget.
