PEBA as a printed part
A printed PEBA part stretches a long way before it breaks.
Key properties
| Hardness | 85A or 90A, by filament |
|---|---|
| Density | about 1.0 g/cm3 |
| Rebound | 62 percent (85A) |
| Toughness in the cold | -40 C |
| Heat deflection | 50 C at 0.45 MPa |
What to use instead
- TPU when rebound is not what the part needs.
- Foaming PEBA when you want it lighter.
- TPE when you want a more rubbery feel and the part does not have to spring back.
The FDM material selector narrows the whole range by operating temperature, load, chemical exposure, and budget.
